Zuniz was created for urban explorers, photographers, and history enthusiasts who want to discover overlooked locations in their area. Our tool combines multiple data sources and advanced algorithms to identify potentially abandoned buildings and sites worth exploring.

How To Use Zuniz
Step 1: Navigate the Map
Use the map to browse areas you're interested in exploring. You can switch between map views using the buttons in the bottom left corner.
Zoom in to see more detailed results in a specific area. The map will automatically scan for potential abandoned locations as you move around.
Step 2: Adjust Your Search
Use the control panel to adjust your search parameters:
- Set the minimum and maximum abandonment score
- Filter by location type (industrial, residential, commercial, etc.)
- Adjust the search radius around your current location
Step 3: View Places
Click on any marker to see details about a location. The popup will show:
- Street view preview (swipe to change viewing angle)
- Abandonment score and reasons
- Building information and status
- Travel time estimates
Click "View Places" to enter full-screen exploration mode, especially useful on mobile devices.
Step 4: Save Interesting Locations
Found something interesting? Click "Save Place" to add it to your saved locations. You can:
- Add custom labels to organize your finds
- View all saved places in the control panel
- Quickly navigate back to saved locations
Step 5: Explore Responsibly
Remember to always:
- Respect private property and no trespassing signs
- Check local laws regarding urban exploration
- Never damage or remove anything from locations
- Explore with a partner when possible
- Bring proper safety equipment
